SHIPMENTS TO THE U.S.A.
Good news for our Southern Neighbours!
We now ship to the USA. Finally, U.S. customers can get some great Canadian Bloodline geckos delivered right to thier door. We ship out to the USA every 3-4 weeks at the moment (weather permitting). We do this to gather enough orders to send them out at once to keep delivery fees minimal.
We clear all orders through customs and US Wildlife Services. All U.S. orders are subject to a flat shipping fee of $65 CAN and an order minimum $300 CAN (not inlucding shipping fees).
You will not need to worry about dealing with any U.S. importation agencies or paperwork. We will handle everything, right to your door or designated UPS hub using Next Day Air Service (for most areas this means arrival before 10:30am on your doorstep).
Please Note: You must be there for delivery for my live arrival gaurantee to apply to your shipment so plan to be home on the morning of delivery.
INTERNATIONAL HAMM SHOW DELIVERY NOW AVAILABLE!
We are now taking orders for the HAMM show for March 10th, Spring, 2012. If there is anything special you are looking for please ask!
We will be happy to take care of all purchases paid for in full from now until delivery at the March 2011 HAMM show, free of charge. Please expect your geckos to be taken care of in the same manner in which we look after all our geckos at Northern Gecko, until they reach you. If you are looking for anything special please just ask us! We are happy to help.
The cutoff date for all final payments to be made for geckos to be shipped to this show will be March 7th, 2012.
Order minimums for HAMM show delivery are $500 (shipping fee is included in this minimum). Shipping fees are $75 CAN per gecko to a maximum of $250 CAN for up to five (5) geckos. A maximum will be charged of $350 CAN for up to nine (9) geckos. Please contact us for rates on ten (10) or more geckos. This fee includes ALL fees required to get the geckos from Toronto, Canada to the HAMM show EXCEPT for the UK VAT/Importation Fee of 20% (this payment on the value of goods imported remains the buyer's responsibility and is 20% of the value of the goods you import, not including our shipping fees). The geckos point of entry to Europe is the UK. This is a requirement of ALL goods imported to the UK from a foreign country.
All other fees are included in OUR shipping fee per gecko, including the flight from Canada, Veterinary Inspection Fees (both here and in the UK) Airline Holding Fees and Health Certificates both in Canada and Germany, and transportation to the show from the UK. All pricing is quoted in Canadian Dollars.
Here is an example of the fees you are required to pay for delivery:
If the gecko is $200 then you must pay $75 shipping plus 20% UK Import Tax on the value of the goods (20% of $200) = $40
For a total of $200 + $75 + $40 = $315. Remember, the maximum shipping fee depends on the number of geckos ordered but that the VAT/UK Import Tax of 20% applies to the price of all geckos ordered, minus the shipping fee.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL HAMM CUSTOMERS:
**We have had a few requests from customers asking if it is OK to double up their gecko orders with other customers to save money on shipping fees. While this obviously makes sense to our customers this does not help us get your geckos to the HAMM show. Shipping to the HAMM show from Canada is VERY expensive. One fair sized order with all the fees required to get them there can easily cost almost $1500 CAN depending on the value of the geckos. If we do not receive enough money to cover these costs then it will clearly not be worthwhile to consider future shipments to HAMM.
This is why we think that each customer paying a maximum of $250 is a GREAT deal! Heck, it costs me more money than that to get geckos delivered to me from the USA to Canada. Everyone saves and everyone wins on shipping if we will put in our fair share. However, if it gets to the point that I can't collect enough to ship the geckos without having to pay for it myself then it will be hard for me to justify future HAMM shipments. I mention this as I have noticed several breeders have stopped shipping to HAMM because of this problem. While I obviously cannot enforce this policy I hope we can work on an 'honour system,' so that Northern Gecko can continue to deliver to the HAMM shows for many years to come. Therefore, I urge you to please consider paying for your own geckos to be delivered. If we determine that someone is trying to abuse this system to get free shipping, we reserve the right to cancel that order and refund all payments at any time**
ORDERS TO OTHER INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS
We are able to fill other International orders directly to your country Overseas given your circumstances. It is your responsibility to know and understand your countries importation laws regarding these geckos. In order to consider an export to your country we require a minimum order of at least $2000 CAN. Please contact us and we would be pleased to investigate the opportunity to ship to you and let you know what fees might be involved on our side of the shipment.
PERSONAL EXPORTS FROM CANADA
You are also welcome to enter Canada and purchase geckos here in Canada and take them back to your country of origin yourself. All Rhacodactylus are non-CITES animals and you should have no trouble getting them back to your country with the proper documentation for entry into your country. If you are looking for advice do not hesitate to ask us.
