ReptiSun® 5.0 - Perfect for all tropical species of reptiles and amphibians! 5% UVB Output, 30% UVA Output, FULL SPECTRUM.
The new ReptiSun® Compact Fluorescent lamps use a special UVB transmitting quartz glass for maximum UVB penetration. Cool burning compact fluorescent bulbs screw into standard threaded sockets, eliminating the need for a separate ballast. Lamp can be oriented either vertically or horizontally in your reptile hood or clamp lamp fixture. UVB emissions help prevent or reverse metabolic bone disease and UVA increases feeding, mating, and other natural behaviors.

I recommend Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent. I am using them for planted dart frog terrariums. Dart frogs do not require UVB lighting and will die if overheated but these bulbs throw very little heat and emit UVB to help the plants survive. I am also using them in domes for my mourning geckos which do require UVB.
I recommend the Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 Compact Bulb as a source of UVA/UVB Fluorescent lighting with the use of a compact top or dome fixture. I use these bulbs for my Lygodactylus Williamsi collection. Their colours are always vibrant and they spend their days basking under the bulb with a great behavioral response to the full spectrum lighting. My added live tropical plants are also growing at a healthy rate from the visible daylight light colour temperature.
